46-47 Lydbury North Reviews

Great space for our family of five to relax, unwind, play some pool and enjoy the comfortable sitting room and spacious kitchen. Quiet location with rolling hills all around was restful in itself, but in easy reach of the Stiperstones, Long Mynd, Church Stretton and Ludlow for some exploring.
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful cottage in a delightful location. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. We will definitely consider staying here again.
We had a really lovely time with our daughter and son in law, baby 7 months and dog. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious. Lots of equipment and the garden is big and safe for our dog. The area is stunning, we drove all over and it is all beautiful countryside.
Beautiful accommodation, very comfortable and relaxing. Big garden but, although listed as secure, my two inquisitive dogs managed to find three ways through the hedgerow where it is thinning and fence through to the neighbours garden, and on one occasion getting out onto the road through the neighbours garden. Luckily, he went straight to the village shop and they held on to him
We absolutely loved this cottage. It had everything you could wish for for a family holiday including a poolsnooker room for us all to enjoy. It is in a beautiful private location and is ideal for those who wish to take their family dog members with them. So homely and comfortable and immaculately clean. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

We spent a week in this lovely Cottage, that was warm and very comfortable with great outside space. We were able to easily travel to the surrounding area enjoying what Shropshire has to offer. Great communication
A superb accommodation with everything we needed. Very comfortable and a perfect base for travelling around the county.
Suzanne
Fantastic cottage, wonderful location and beautifully maintained! Everything you could ask for and more! We had a wonderful weekend break with the dogs and could not fault it excellent communication and a gorgeous place to stay. Thank you
The property was lovely and the location allowed us to explore Shropshire with ease. A glass of wine with the log burner glowing on an autumn evening was so relaxing. However the games room came a close second where we played some noncompetitive pool. and I lifted the trophy for the second year. The owner could not have been more thoughtful and helpful, thank you.
Louise
The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a good time away. We had slight problem with the heating but the owners responded very quickly and sorted things so that we were warm.
Jacqueline
Beautifully appointed cottage with spacious, comfortable and cosy lounge. Main bedroom with ensuite, again very comfortable. Lovely welcome pack, of biscuits and fruit gin the gin was delicious, thank you. The only small niggles were the stains on the cream carpet up the stairs, but only to be expected and some childrens handprints, by the wall on the stairs and the mirror in the hallway. It would also been useful to have some further condiments in the kitchen other than just salt & pepper. Saying that we would definitely come back next year when the weather improves.

The Bungalow was perfect for a peaceful, comfortable break. A lovely garden to enjoy the sun, a pool table for entertainment, a good kitchen for selfcatering and large comfortable bedrooms. There are plenty of local pubs and quirky little towns to explore. And the little shop was great for extras.
The cottage was perfect! Comfortable beds and excellent blackout blinds ensured a great night's sleep. A decent smart TV that actually was smart, so we could log into everything the family watches at home. The garden was really big and properly secure, so the dog loved it and we could just leave the doors open for him to roam. The lounge and kitchen provided plenty of space for 12 when we had family over for lunch. Everything was spotless, and the kitchen has loads of pots, pans, serving bowls, crockery & cutlery. More than enough for that meal for 12. I always take my own kitchen knives on holiday with me, but apart from that we wanted for nothing. There was even a non stick cake pan for daily circular fresh bread! Overall, I'd recommend the property to anyone, and would happily book again in the future.
Lovely cottage, very well equipped and clean, everything was as described in the cottage listing. The garden was beautiful for relaxing in and totally enclosed for the dog to relax and enjoy. The nearby community shop and the village pub were a short walk away both of which we used. We enjoyed great walks from the property and we would not hesitate to return. Sue Day

Lovely comfortable cottage with a safe, dogproof garden and sunny patio to sit out in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return. There are lots of interesting places to visit and areas for walks within easy driving distance of the cottage.

Very comfortable beds, lovely kitchen and dinning area, snooker room, games, lovely fire, large secured garden.....all the information provided and suggestions for walks, pubs, shops..... I could go on and on. I would love to come back!

Excellent well equipped cottage. Clean and well maintained. Lovely extra touches eg welcome gift on arrival, pool table in good condition with chalk, different size cues etc. All noted and appreciated. Nice to have such spacious gardens with plenty of parking and space to play outside.
Cottage is lovely, comfortable and very well equipped. The homemade raspberry gin in the welcome pack was a lovely touch. The garden is a good size and fully enclosed so our dogs had a great time racing around. Good walks in the vicinity and the local pub just a short walk. Would definitely recommend. We will be back.
Thank you for letting me know us stay in your lovely cottage. It was beautifully presented and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to enjoy family meals together. The weather was kind to us and we managed a few walks from the cottage and Clun castle. It was a special weekend to bring my family together from Worcester and North wales before our next grandchild arrives in June. The village itself is welcoming with a lovely community shop for your essentials. Thank you for the gin and biscuits such a lovely touch.

Exactly as promised, picturesque chocolate box cottage, cosy and quaint, and plenty of room accommodate our group of six. Beds and bedding extremely cosy & comfortable, and the bedrooms were charming. The garden was spacious and as recommended, loved picking apples, raspberries and even fresh herbs for our cheese fondue one evening ! The pool table was a brilliant addition to the property, and we spent most evenings trying out our skills! The village pub was a mere 6 mts walk away, and we were warmly welcomed for a delicious Sunday Roast and a couple bottles of Red. We gathered in the cosy lounge for a Netflixs movie night, sank into the very comfy chairs, then found a pack of cards, playing late into the night, beautiful room to chill out in. Truly a lovely, lovely cottage and gardens to spend time, reconnecting with old friends. Thank you Caroline for accommodating, we wanted for nothing, and had a fabulous time!
Alison
We had a lovely week at 4647 Lydbury North. The property is one of the best I've stayed at, extremely well laid out and well equipped. Lovely hot showers, comfortable beds and a lovely garden. We did have an issue on our first day but this was dealt with swiftly by the owners. Would highly recommend!
Kenneth
Lovely cottage and very well equiped. Garden perfect for dogs and plenty of parking .We had a problem with the showers but the owner is aware and looking in to it.
The owner had left the property in an immaculate condition as noted on our arrival. The location is stunning with a very handy local village shop. Very comfortable and the owner gave us total privacy. A few minor issues were discussed with the owner who was more than willing to act on those. I would recommend for larger families and pets. Garden and facilities very good.
Teresa
The Cottage looked amazing in the photos, but exceeded expectations. When we walked in, there was a real Xmas tree, decorations and the table set for Xmas lunch. The mince pies and homemade Damson Gin was enjoyed by all! There was plenty of room for 6 and 2 dogs, very clean and comfortable, plenty of utensils, cutlery etc. The games room was a real bonus with games for the festive period. There were lovely walks in the village, books in the phone box and a good pub with lovely food. We all very much enjoyed our week away.
Jessica
Was plenty of room for the 6 of us staying, yet also had a cosy feel to it. The log fire was perfect in the snowy weather we had. The pool table is a great feature we enjoyed that thoroughly. All very well equipped. Lovely local, scenic walks. Very welcoming church just up the road.
What a lovely cottage set in Lydbury North. We loved our stay and enjoyed the log fire. We needed it after the floods there in Shropshire last weekend. We had to adjust the central heating as it was chilly but it was simple to use. Cannot wait to visit in the summer and sit outside and enjoy our summer. Felt inspired to write again fabulous. Good for dogs too walks very near and a safe garden too.
A fantastic centre for exploring Shropshire. The garden is a treat for dogs!
Suzanne
We have just spent a fantastic week with our two adult children and their partners, plus two dogs, in this beautifully furnished, well decorated and maintained, charming cottage. The walks from the front door with our dogs were perfect both locally and going further afield whether to join part of The Shropshire Way or to neighbouring villages and Bishops Castle. The owners, Caroline and JP couldn't have been more helpful. We loved the way they took such pride in their gorgeous cottage. A perfect place to stay. Thank you both.
Great cottage. Perfect location and hosts lovely. Many thanks... clare and family x
Absolutely stunning cottage in a beautiful location. Well equipped and very comfortable. Great garden with more than enough room for relaxing outdoors. Fabulous snookerpool room. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The welcome pack was a nice touch and very much appreciated.
Lovely, spacious, comfortable, wellequipped, old worldy cottage which is well situated to explore Shropshire and the Welsh borders.
Kayleigh
Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing weekend in the countryside. Very close by to a local village shop and pub serving delicious food. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for hosting us.
Rachel
A beautiful and well equipped property in a great location.
Graham
What a charming cottage! The accommodation was of a high standard and well equipped. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. The log fire added to the cosy atmosphere. The cottage retained a lot of the features of the original dwellings and was very appealing. We were surprised to find a bottle of homemade damsonbased gin and a packet of local cookies when we arrived. A nice addition! There was plenty of room to park the car at the rear of the property. The local pub was a short distance away and we enjoyed a very delicious Sunday roast there. This is a gem of a place and anybody would be delighted to rent this cottage. Highly recommended!
Absolutely lovely cottage, with some lovely touches Damson gin and cookies! and helpful owners. Everything you could need was provided. Only suggested improvement would be king sized beds and memory foam mattress but this is just a personal preference and didnt detract from a marvellous visit in a beautiful cottage!
We had a wonderful stay at this well equipped cottage. Great location for exploring the local area. Scenic walks straight from the door step. The dogs really enjoyed it. My son played pool everyday and so did we! Warm and cosy. The local shop was handy for every day forgotten essentials and the local pub served great food. We would like to come back again when more local attractions will be open to see more of what this stunning area has to offer. The owners were welcoming and local. Thoroughly recommend
Not only a great property but also one with accessible and friendly owners, should assistance be required. A first rate experience.
