Yew Tree House Reviews

Yew Tree House is the most beautiful peaceful place and yet close to lots of attractions and amenities. We love staying here. The house is so clean and well kept, and John is a pleasure to deal with.
The location and cottage was 1010 absolutely stunning. . The weather we had was fantastic so plenty of great days out. Couldn't have had a better time and our dog also loved it. John the owner called first evening to make sure all was ok and even left out homemade bread, butter, sweets and fresh milk. We will be definitely back next year and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit the sunny southeast.
Everything, house, grounds, surrounding countryside, absolutely stunning. Yes Tree House is a hidden gem in Wexford. We have already recommended to others & so hope to visit again in the near future. Sykes also great to deal with. Hassle free late booking!
Alison
We love this house, its our 4th year staying here, close to everything we need and so peaceful, its so relaxing, clean and has everything you need and WiFi for evenings. There was bread milk butter and sweets and crisps left when we arrived and John called the first night to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely book again
Jonathan
Absolutely amazing, the most lovely and beautiful place. The host was brilliant, so kind and helpful. Made our stay so special and cant wait to go back.
Claire
Yew Tree House is set in a beautiful location, far enough out that you are able to enjoy the peace and quiet but near enough to Enniscorthy for all the conveniences. It is also ideally situated for visiting many attractions in the southern, east are of Ireland. The house itself is lovely, extremely clean and well kept and the owner, John is very welcoming. A delicious fresh loaf, butter, milk and items to make hot drinks were awaiting us on our arrival. The only downside was the one bathroom but the rest more than made up for it and even with a family of 6 we made it work. The outside space and garden was also amazing and we enjoyed spending time exploring. We only wish we had been able to stay longer than the week we had booked. We would definitely return!
Lovely characterful cottage, with the fireplace and furniture. Made us feel very welcome with homemade bread on arrival.
Catherine
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yew Tree House. It is a fabulously renovated old farmhouse with all the modern convieniences you could want. The setting of the house is beautiful and secluded and very well maintained. The welcome pack of fresh irish soda bread, butter, milk and chocolates was a lovely gesture from the owner. The rooms are large and the kitchen has everything you need. There are gorgeous beaches within 40 mins drive of the house, we spent our days at Cahore, Morriscastle, Ballinesker and Curracloe beaches to enjoy the fabulous weather we got. There is both an Aldi and Lidl less than 10 mins from the house and lots of restaurants and cafes in Enniscorthy. We ate out in an Italian restaurant Via Vento twice and would recommend it

Weve just returned home from a wonderful week at this beautiful property. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. The hosts have thought about every little detail. They left some very welcomed home comfort treats, like home made bread, tea, milk and fresh strawberries. We felt very welcomed and at home in this beautiful home. The surrounding areas and beaches are stunning we will definitely be returning! Thank you
We had a wonderful stay at Yew Tree House. The property is set in an idyllic, peaceful spot and is in immaculate condition both inside and out its clear that a lot of love and care has gone into its upkeep. It made the perfect base for exploring Wexford and Waterford, with so much to see and do nearby. Wed love to return and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.
Lovely cottage, great location & grounds. Easy drive from Dublin airport. Close to Enniscorthy ,15 minute drive plenty of local shops, supermarkets, pubs & restaurants. Lots to see & do. Loved Wexford & Hook lighthouse. Host called in on day of arrival to check all was good & helped set up wood burner. My husband is now an expert at setting it up. Highly recommend.
We cant recommend this property enough. Perfect if you are looking for a cosy countryside get away or like us, a family gathering. The area is so peaceful, and the stove adds such a touch of cosiness to the property. The hosts have thought of everything from kitchen utensils to board games and toys for the kids. The host even came to check on us when there was a quick power outage due to storm Bert. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful property. ine www.flysailrail.com httpswww.instagram.comflysailrailprofilecard?igshMWg3Z3ByenZodW1jYg
The house was warm and cozy. A fresh loaf of bread was waiting along with a few other treats. The wood burning stove was perfect with plenty of wood provided! The owner stopped in to check on us soon after we arrived and was available via text. The house was completely updated and WiFi worked great. Highly recommended.

Lovely Country Cottage newlytastefully renovated secluded location 10 minutes from Enniscorthy On arrival there was a lovely cob bread and 2 Easter eggs for the grandchildren lovely touch Quaint pub 10 minute walk The fact that there is no toilet for upstairs bedrooms was a slight inconvenience. Overall great experience would highly recommend Patrick
Lovely cottage, very peaceful and private surroundings, very dog friendly. The cottage was ideal for our family Christmas stay, a beautiful log burner with a supply of logs and kindling which was perfect. Cottage was warm and comfortable. The cottage was well laid out and kitchen had everything to prepare our Christmas dinner. There were games supplied and a smart tv so plenty of entertainment. Nearby Enniscorthy worth a visit plus plenty of other places to explore a bit further afield, such as Hook Lighthouse and Kilkenny. Would consider staying again, thanks.
Sharon
Exceptional holiday stay, generous owners. On arrival a loaf, butter, milk, tea, coffee etc not a starter pack for fire but enough to keep you going for months. It was a lovely quiet spot with the sheep as neighbors. It gave us a lovely base to visit family and have them over. The kitchen was well equipped and modern. The shower warm and reliable. Lots of space outside to enjoy. We will be back.
Andrew
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Yew Tree House, it is a lovely, well kept cottage and we will look out for it when we return to Ireland to holiday and visit our Family.
This was the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in. Lovely surroundings and plenty of space for everyone. The owner even left local strawberries and freshly baked bread as well as milk and butter in the fridge. Very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend xx
Everything about this house was amazing. So clean, had all the best amenities even a smart telly! Had kids toys, boardgames, washing machine and dryer, lovely outside area for sitting, modern shower and kitchen. Can't think of a single negative thing and will definitely return!!
Yew Tree cottage is wonderful. I think it is even better than the beautiful pictures of it. I stayed with my 12 year old son and our dog. The 12 year never once looked for 'screens' he was out playing, exploring, building the fire for the barbecue, barbecuing for us. The barbecue area is just gorgeous we cooked and sat out until the sun went down. Had lovely country walks and Enniscorty is so close with a super Lidle and Aldi.
We were in desperate need for some r&r and to escape the city. . it was last minute and we only had a short amount of time to spare. This was by far one of the best stays we have had. We spent time together, isolated from everyone in glorious sunshine and it was perfect. We could have stayed so much longer. Our son loved the freedom to run around on the grass in a safe space with lots of toys and we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying meals in the sunshine. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We miss it already!
Andrew
Lovely property in a peaceful location. Equipped to a high standard with pretty much everything you'd need. Friendly owner who is available should you need anything sorted out with the property.
Michael
Very lovely remote cottage. Great views, quiet and very well equipped. We were a bit worried with only one bathroom, but it all worked out well. It is a wildlife haven. Cookoos, woodpeckers, mistle thrush, and a host of other birds were frequent visitors. The picnic area near the river is great!
WoW What a beautiful house and surroundings! This was the first Easter we were all together after Covid, so it was very special and the house and grounds added a amazing place for us all. John the owner we enjoyed your stories about the history of the house and your amazing journey in doing it up. We wish you and your family every success with it in the future. Thank you so much for the apple tart too. We will definitely book to stay here again. Kind regards Ann from London
Ciaran
Fantastic property. Very clean and warm. Plenty of kitchen utensils and aids for children also. Couldnt recommend properly highly enough. Highly enjoyable stay. Will be back.
We were a family group and this property proved an excellent base to visit relatives in both Wexford and Wicklow. Extremely comfortable with breakfast basics left for us. In addition John, the owner, called in one evening with an apple pie which we had for dinner that night very nice
Thank you, John, the landlord, for making our stay so enjoyable, great attention to detail, we didn't miss anything here. Very clean house, with highquality appliances, a modern kitchen and bathroom and a good wifi signal.
Nicola
Beautiful, clean and welcoming Farmhouse and gardens! Lovely character of an old farmhouse with all the modern touches. Great space indoors in kitchen area, living space and bedrooms. Great amenities including tumble dryer, washing machine and dishwasher. All cookingcleaning amenities available also. Easy to read instructions for appliances and guide with local attractions which we explored quite a few including the castles and irish heritage park. No more than 3040 minutes from some of the best beaches I have visited in Ireland, 5 minute drive from Enniscorthy town which we were lucky enough to visit their food festival one of the days. Host welcomed us with a large punnet of fresh Wexford strawberries and later that week called in with a lovely baked apple tart and some icecream for the children. Children enjoyed this house very much, lovely garden area which they spent every night playing tennis or football on, a small walk down the lane had a lovely stream with bbq area which they played in. 1010
Jacqueline
Beautiful house, great facilities, gorgeous grounds which were enjoyed both by ourselves and our husky and a lovely BBQ area with seating and umbrella. Our host provided a very tasty punnet of fresh strawberries on arrival and called later in the week with a freshly baked apple tart. He also provides a file detailing how to use all the appliances very useful and with suggestions for eating out and exploring Wexford. Many thanks John!
Daragh
We had a wonderful holiday staying in Yew Tree House. This house is amazing, located in a lovely setting, close to Enniscorthy. The house is spotlessly clean and the bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and elegant. The bathroom and kitchen were modern and very well equipped. The outdoor seating area was the icing on the cake, we made full use of the on site barbecue. The location provides a great base from which to explore Wexfords many tourist attractions and breath taking beaches. There is even a little bar close to the house. John, our host was friendly and helpful, welcoming us with a punnet of lovely Wexford strawberries on arrival. We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend Yew Tree House to anyone looking to explore the sunny southeast of Ireland. Daragh
Anmemarie
I couldn't speak highly enough about this property. It was so clean and spacious and more than ample.room for a party of 7. A lovely large living dining area with stove and loads of firewood. A beautiful very well equipped kitchen and a lovely large shower. This old farmhouse has been exquisitely refurbished and the bedrooms are large with very comfy beds. We will derinately be back!!
Joanna
The cottage is recently renovated, very clean and is very well equipped and stocked with the basics. John also left us some lovely Wexford strawberries. There is plenty of wood for the burner which we lit as it can get chilly in the evenings. We also used the bbq and sat out to eat . There is only one bathroom toilet in the house. The stream is at quite a remove from the house so wasnt a concern. This is a beautiful part of Ireland, with views to Mount Leinster and lovely countryside. Its about 10 mins to Enniscorthy town and about a further 15 minutes to the beach at Curracloe. We will return!
