Bethania Reviews

What a lovely place to stay. Great care has been taken to ensure all the things you need for a comfortable stay are in this cottage, with the exception of a wardrobe. Some more coat hangers would have been useful. There was a very nice welcome pack. We have always had welcome packs in Welsh and Northern England cottages, but this was the best
Elaine
Beautiful property. Ideal location with stunning views all year round. A real find.
Lucinda
Picked this cottage for its quiet location and a log fire. Lovely and cosy for an autumn trip.
Lovely, peaceful location. Bethania was very clean, tidy and wellequipped. Extremely comfortable bed too! Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and exploring the countryside.
Out of all the cottages we have stayed in, Bethania may well be our favourite. A lovely, quiet location, beautifully appointed and comfortable cottage and kind and considerate hosts. Just perfect!
Caroline

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Very clean tidy and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The owners were lovely and left lots of information about the area and places to visit. They left us some eggs, milk and cake which was really thoughtful. Beautiful outside area to relax and take in the view. On our visit we were able to travel to zip world slate mines, ironworks, waterfalls and Snowdon. The beds were super comfortable, nice big bathroom for a hot bath and snower. We loved our stay and we will be back.
Gillian

Bethania is a beautiful, spacious and comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location with stunning views on all sides. Bethania is very well equipped with good outside space and the welcome pack was generous and much appreciated. Sally, the contact for the cottage was helpful and informative. Bethania is well located for visiting much of Shropshire and North and MidWales. There is excellent hill walking from the cottage and the local village has useful shops including a great fish and chip shop! We enjoyed a wonderful two weeks at Bethania and will definitely return.
Bethany
We had an amazing stay at Bethania, the cottage is so nicely done, clean, comfortable and relaxing, everything you need it has. The location is so peaceful and surroundings. Lots of pretty locations close. The welcome hamper is such a thoughtful touch on arrival. We was welcomed to make sure by the cottage owner we had everything we needed which was so kind. Perfect, thank you
Great little cottage, warm and comfortable, wellequipped. Lovely big and comfortable bed. Garage for bike storage. We would find it a bit small for 4 adults.
Everything about the cottage was as good as we could expect. We could only spend two nights, but we were extremely comfortable. We got a warm welcome from our hostess, who met us and was also there by coincidence to see us off. We would suggest adding, where the road markings go left in the directions, before the words bear right we were misled by Google and had to get a neighbour to redirect us.
Dear Sally and Wendy, thankyou for all your help when the car broke down. Our stay was lovely and we were lucky with the weather. The cottage is comfortable, clean and very well supplied with utensils etc. The welcome package was a lovely surprise. It is so peaceful and I watched the sun come up each morning over the brewin mountains. Say thankyou to Linda for all our early morning talks. We will be back in the future as the cottage is such a comfortable place to relax and everybody was so friendly. Thankyou Janet and Steve
Natalie
Bethania is a beautiful cottage surrounded by peaceful countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything you need and more for a relaxed home from home holiday. Please bear in mind that the rear garden is just the patio area and there are horses in the field right behind that. Flies were an issue and did stop us from sitting outside, which was a shame but we thoroughly enjoyed feeding them carrots at dusk when the flies eventually disappeared. Thank you so much for the lovely welcome pack too!
Steven
Simply did not want to leave , Wendy and Sally have created a perfect haven for peace and quiet. The cottage has everything you need for home from home comfort . The beds are divine !!! And the ponys in the meadow directly behind the cottage where the icing on the cake. We loved our welcome hamper and milk already in the fridge . We have found our country bolt hole and cant wait to return. Nicola , Steven & Tyler

From the moment we walked through the door of the bungalow we felt at home. It had everything we needed. The shower is lovely and so is the bath. The garden is small but nice enough to sit out and watch the sun going down. The beds were very comfy and the contact before arriving to ask how we wanted the beds set out was a nice touch. We arrived to find a lovely welcome pack. It is an ideal spot to be based to explore from and is lovely and quiet at night. We will definitely be going back. Thanks.
Elaine
We had a wonderful holiday at Bethania. The cottage is superb, you have everything you need. The location is stunning and with 2 beautiful ponies for company it is perfect. We really enjoyed the welcome basket , it was a lovely extra. It is a great base for exploring the area and the local village is just captivating and very friendly. We hope to return in the future which says it all. Many thanks to the owner, you gave created a special place.
Stella
Perfect holiday cottage with everything one needs to relax. Near the beautiful village of Llamrhaeadrym!ocjnamt but not overlooked by anything except 2 lovely horses. The back is a perfect suntrap but unfortunately we had only one day of sunshine. At least the comfort of the cottage helped to compensate for the rain.Would recommend this cottage highly
Lovely holiday property, has obviously been renovated with care and good use made of the space. Although it is on the junction of 2 lanes it was very quiet. The outlook is lovely, with outside seating at the front and the back. The welcome pack was much appreciated milk, eggs, local cheese, waffles The property was very clean, the heating was efficient. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. In the bedrooms the sensible decision has been made to maximise bed space 2 x 3 foot singles, or superking if made up as one so hanging space is coat hooks on the wall, with drawer space for folding clothes. I appreciate both of these are very subjective but the mattresses are very firm, however the pillows are extremely comfortable. Excellent area for cycling. The local village has a small grocers with all the basics, a butcher, newsagent, chip shop. We'd definitely be happy to recommend this property.
The property was perfect, spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable beds, lovely bedding, well equipped kitchen, excellent outdoor seating front and back, beautiful surroundings, great having horses in the field, neighbours were very friendly, Thanks for the thoughtful welcome goodies.
A really lovely cottage with stunning views of the Berwyn Mountains. Very well equipped with all you could want. Nice touch of a welcome pack. Beds are really comfy . Log fire is also in situ. If you are into star gazing and have a telescope its very dark skies here. Nice little village with a quirky Indian the Plough lovely food. Lake Vynrwy relatively close by as are the Pistyll Rhaeadr falls. If you are reasonably fit then Cadair Berwyn is brilliant . I would highly recommend Bethania it really is very good indeed.
What a fantastic find,The cottage was immaculately clean and comfortable. The position was good. There was lots of extra cutlery and plates so you never ran out which can be really annoying. We would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return at some point. The owners were very friendly and obviously take a lot of pride in making their cottage the perfect holiday stay.
Robert

Its left us wanting more id love to return in the summer everything was as stated and we appreciated the welcome pack The area for activities and touring and places of interest is a winner and the cottage was a credit to Sally and Wendy Thanks

This is a beautiful property with everything you need for a home away from home stay! Thank you for keeping the standards high. We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Hopefully we will be back soon.
Second time staying here and yet another lovely stay. Everything is perfect. The welcome pack is thoughtful, Bethenia is set up just right. The utility entrance area is really useful to do any laundry and keep dirty boots out of the house. The garage is brilliant for storing bikes or in our case medical supplies and wheelchairs. We couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay.
Philip
What can I say, it was one if not the best holiday lets we have stayed in everything was perfect true home from home. if you need peace and quite this is the place for you surrounded by farmland and nature, the bungalow was like new inside and outside, with easy access to beautiful Wales and Shropshire The owners were really nice and helpful, nearby if you need them but leave you to enjoy your holiday, we will be back next year in early summer, thank you for a wonderful stay P.S The Apple pie was very tasty !!!!

We do hope to stay again soon. I hope you found we took as much care of Bethania as you do. Thanks again and hope to see you again very soon.
A beautiful, comfortable, extremely well equipped cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thankyou for the generous welcome basket of very tasty local produce not to forget the milk in the fridge and other basic essentials so that we could have a coffee before we unpacked. There are lots of interesting things to do in the area. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage and its helpful owners.
An exceptionally wellpresented cottage, clean, tidy and comfortable with everything one would need for an enjoyable stay. The location is ideal for walking the Berwin hills and for bird watching, the reasons for my choice.
