Toot View Reviews

Toot View is an absolutely beautiful property which overlooks the stunning Shropshire hills. It's a view one could never tire of and the property itself is nice and private so it feels exclusively yours. It is wellequipped with all mod cons, it feels like a home from home and a place I would be very happy to return to.
Caroline
Wonderful property in amazing location. Perfect for two legged and four legged guests. Had everything we needed and more. A brilliant location to unwind with beautiful views, starry skies and close up cows. Even the teen spent more time outside than in. Would definitely consider returning sometime.
Olivia
Absolutely loved our stay at toot view! Spectacular scenery, really comfortable and clean property. Plenty of room to park, very secure for children and dogs to keep safe. We was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the facilities provided, along with all the little extras such as washing up liquid.. toilet roll.. dishwasher tabs as its very rare that places provide that level of detail nowadays. The welcome gifts where a lovely touch the only thing we wasnt 100 percent with was the STEEP hill but that cant be helped obviously, but it gets easier the more times you go up and down.
Rachel
A lovely cabin on a working farm. Great location between Ludlow and Bridgenorth. Great space, beautiful views and spot on facilities. Wed stay again.

Exceptional lodge in a Beautiful setting property has everything you need the property is very spacious and the view is to die for the sheep and cows outside your lodge are nice to wake up to so much to see and do so many lovely areas to visit would highly recommend
Rachel
We had a lovely stay at Toot View. The accommodation was well kept, very clean, and had everything we needed. The livingkitchen area was huge. The views were absolutely beautiful! The driveway was very steep imagine steep, and then steeper haha, but once you've done it a couple of times it's fine. Highly recommend a trip to Ludlow farmshop, 20 mins down the road. We also visited Hawkdown Park Follies, Bridgnorth, Cadbury's World, West Midlands Safari Park, Ironworks Sculpture Park, and Ironbridge, all within approx an hours drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
Richard
A large and beautiful lodge which is extremely well appointed. The views are spectacular and must rate amongst the finest, certainly that we have ever seen. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and it was fascinating to see the day to day workings of farm life. The lodge is extremely well situated to explore the delights of Ludlow, Welsh borders and Herefordshire. We felt very privileged to have been able to stay at this very magical place.
Alison
A fantastic property for exploring the area. Great views. Accurate listing.
Sharon
December saw our family home destroyed by storm Darragh, so I went in search of a place to stay to try and make the best of our situation and found Toot View for a Christmas break The lodge was beautiful and the surrounding views were breathtaking It was kindly festively decorated by the owner after she heard our story. The lodge was warm, comfortable and inviting. It has everything you need for a perfect stay, it's been well thought out but may benefit from some kitchen storage for food, but there must be a reason for that as you have everything else you need. The dense fog we experienced during Christmas lay like a blanket and we watched it roll in and roll out, stunning!!. The road to the lodge is steep but if you want peace and tranquility with stunning views Toot View is the place for you. We were lucky enough to extend our stay and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again, maybe taking a summer break to witness its beautiful scenery and what I can only imagine being glorious green landscapes. Thank you for such a beautiful stay
Very relaxing and comfortable , nice owners , great view, the track is steep and bumpy in places but is ok if you take your time . would stay again
This is a fabulous property. It is very well equipped, spacious and very comfortable and as people have said in previous reviews, the views from the property are stunning. The owners provided a lot of basics eg tea, coffee etc and a welcome pack of milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine, which were all much appreciated. The owners, Helen and Ian, from the farm, are very friendly but the property is not overlooked by the farm house. We did lots of walking in the nearby area, some walks from our doorstep. The road up to the farm is quite steep but manageable. If you want to go out a lot in the evenings, the road maybe an issue but if you are happy to stay in and cook for yourselves, the location of this property is fantastic.
Natalie
Beautiful cabin with stunning views. All the amenities we needed and more. Very comfortable beds. The owners were so lovely and kind enough to show our 3 children around the farm and pets some lambs. Thank you very much we had a great time
Absolutely lovely place to stay albeit it a bit challenging with the steepness of the lane and road in and out, my only very minor criticism would be there is no electric shavertoothbrush point in the shower room and we had to go and buy a plug in adaptor. Fantastic views and very comfortable accommodation and welcome from the owner Helen with the bottle of wine and biscuits. Will stay again for sure
Hayley
Absolutely beautiful place, amazing hosts and incredible scenery
Richard
A spacious and comfortable cottage, in an absolutely stunning location.
Very nice cottage with a jaw dropping view. Only minus is the road towards the cottage. You have to be brave.
The holiday cottage was excellent.
Christine
Toot view is a wonderful place to stay and the views are outstanding. It is generally very spacious although the bedrooms are quite small. However, they are well equipped with storage and we found them to be very comfortable. Some extra crockery and cutlery would be useful. We kept running out of mugs! It was only a minor inconvenience. The outdoor space and furniture was great and we enjoyed eating outside. The drive up to Toot View is a bit of a challenge and we werent prepared for how steep and bumpy it was in places. The location is great for visits to beautiful places like the Long Mynd and the town of Ludlow.
Madeleine
Really beautiful and secluded spot. The view was amazing, the accommodation spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The hosts were very friendly, helpful but not intrusive in any way, they were very kind and generous to show our small children some of the animals on their farm also. The kids were safe because the property grounds are well fenced, lots of space to enjoy sitting on the patio to enjoy the weather. We were sad to leave and hope to return.
Had a fabulous stay. The property was comfortable, peaceful and relaxing with a fantastic view. The owners are nearby but not obtrusive, really nice people. Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Church Stretton all within easy reach.
Michael
This cabin suited us in many ways. It ticked the boxes for quiet location, scenic views, very modern and well equipped. Owners directions were essential and very good.
Florina
Absolutely great lodge. Had a fantastic time, beautiful location. The lodge is just perfect.
We had a really lovely experiences at Toot View, The views, property, and property location are exceptional. Our stay was a literal balm to the soul... and the owners very kindly assisted us. Having mobility issues my wife did find the access to Toot View challenging, but doable with help from me, the ramp was steep for her, as were the access steps to the property. The main bedroom bed had a foam mattress which did not provide sufficient comfortrest for my wife, which was a shame, she slept on the sofa in the lounge during our stay which proved to be far more comfortable. My wife has issues with her spine The lounge, Sofa, Armchairs, Dining, Patio Furniture are all excellent. the furniture all in very good condition and of good quality... The bathroom is large, with lots of good quality fluffy soft towels, the shower is an excellent size. The kitchen too is well equipped and well provisioned. We would definitely visit Toot View again, bringing a portable mattress topper for my wife, this would not put us off, we have only mentioned the issues my wife had incase any future visiting party has members with MobilitySpine Issues, so that they can litigate for these.
Im so happy that I decided to book a stay here. It was perfect for the family. The house was cosy and had all the amenities you could possibly need. The host were really friendly and hospitable. The location is fantastic. I couldnt fault it and would definitely return some time.
This was our 5th cottage holiday in the UK this year and in terms of comfort and space the cabin excelled all of the others. When we first walked in we thought wow. You feel quite isolated because of the drive when you arrive through the conifer wood and then the view, but the owners are reassuringly nearby. Ideally placed for local visits including Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth with very good eateries.
First class accommodation, with wonderful views across the hills. Walks from the door to Brown Clee. Super walk to the Three Horse Shoes for Sunday lunch. Lauras ice cream is a much have!!! Would whole heartily recommend!!
Robert
When we walked into Toots View, we were amazed at it all. The scenery was so stunning I woke up early each morning to appreciate it all for longer. Our stay was 100 perfect and the hosts were lovely too. Lots to do nearby and so many walks. I wish we had more time to do it all. We didn't want to go home.
An amazing place to stay great lodge, great views and lovely owners would 100 stay here again
A lovely stay at Toot View great place with incredible views near Ludlow. My three little boys especially enjoyed meeting the farm animals. Thank you.
Excellent location for a totally relaxing time away from everything, which was just what we needed. Facilities are great, and we wanted for nothing we will most definitely go back again later this year. WIFI was good enough to download some TV as well as work if sadly you need to.
Such a wonderful property, clean comfortable with everything you'd possibly need, the views were amazing and the owners were so friendly we just didn't want to leave. One of the most relaxing holidays we've had in years, we're 100 going to come back.
Excellent accommodation. Wonderful views from all windows and very peaceful. Would certainly return on a future visit to Shropshire.
Most amazing log cabin, in the Shropshire hills, with fantastic views over to ludlow. We had the most relaxing stay, blessed with great weather. We have stayed in over 100 cottages in England over the years. Overall this is definitely in the top five, maybe number one. Hopefully we may be lucky enough to book it again.
Great accommodation if you want to get away from it all. The property is modern, very clean, and more spacious than the photos suggest. The views are magnificent and there are some good walks in the immediate area. The owners are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic holiday home. Perfect location and the view was amazing and a beautiful area. Very well equipped holiday home, extremely comfortable with high quality furnishings. Wifi and tv worked very well which was a plus as usually have issues in countryside locations. Very spacious and spotlessly clean. The owners were very friendly and close by if needed. Highly recommended and would definitly book again if back in the area.
Had a fantastic time at Toot View. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped. Amazing views. Great sitting out areas on the patio and decking. Weather was so good we had several meals outside. The hosts are very friendly and made us so welcome.
ie-louise
Wonderful, wonderful view. Very clean and comfortable cottage. We really enjoyed looking out over the sheep and cows in the fields. There are two very steep sections on the drive to the cottage, but you kind of get used to it. The hosts were very nice and helpful.
Kulvinder
What a beautiful place. Having sheep and lambs on your front door and a spectacular view made our holiday very special. Enjoyed many cups of tea looking at the landscape. The highlight of the actual house is how spacious it is. I don't actually think the photos represent the house properly and more emphasis should be put on the view and how big the living area is. The kids loved the bunk bed, its all they talk about. I have staycationed for many years and this is the first time I truly went off the main road and away from it all. There is a hiking trail on your doorstep and a huge woodland that the kids loved to play in. The hosts took the family around their farm and showed is all the animals. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them. In all honesty I can't believe this place was so cheap in comparison to what is on offer here. I think Sykes are too focussed on the luxuries of life and have forgotten what really adds value to a place. Thank you Helen and Ian, I hope to be back soon.
Thomas
Very nice place to stay with beautiful views
Katelin
Me and my partner had a fantastic few days. At first we were worried about the location as we both are from Birmingham, however the peace and tranquility was a much appreciated thing. Handy little village shop that was stocked well. We cant wait to hopefully book back!x
