Greenacres Reviews

Vivienne
We had a lovely relaxing stay in this spotlessly clean property. So quiet and peaceful. With views from all windows. The owner was very helpful with directions after us following the directions from Sykes which did not lead us to Greenacres.
Patricia
We stayed in this 3 bedroom bungalow with an enclosed garden and it was perfect for our family of 5 with 2 dogs. There was enough space so we didn't feel on top of each other. Such a peaceful location and close to lots of attractions. The owners left some milk, wine and a homemade cake, such a lovely surprise. We had some contact with Christine the owner and she was super helpful and responded very quickly.

Greenacres is a beautiful place, its set in a secluded location surrounded by country side, we found that greenacres is the perfect place to relax, the property was very clean and comfortable, we really enjoyed our break there and definitely would recommend, Thank you
Phoebe
Brilliant property and great for the dog, we had a lovely stay
Sylvia
Lovely location with great views. Holiday cottage was warm and comfortable. We spent most of the time in the kitchendining area to make the most of the views as the living room felt a bit cutoff. Lovely lemon drizzle cake and wine were a very welcome bonus.
Had a lovely stay, would stay again, good location very quiet.
Greenacres is in a quiet spot close to farmland. It is a short drive from Ludlow and Tenbury Wells. We had a lovely short break recently, when meeting up with wider family. Lots of hot water was lovely, a wellequipped kitchen, comfortable beds, oldfashioned but comfy lounge, and a great wrap around garden, perfect for the dog. We were very pleased to find it, having originally sought out singlelevel accommodation for an elderly parent who later decided the travel was too much. It would be perfect for people with mobility issues. Close to local sights and walks.
Spent a week at Greenacres property was exactly what we hoped for. Spacious, clean, comfortable, modern kitchen appliances etc and, for us, the most serene position surrounded by beautiful scenery and a substantial wrap around garden which we enjoyed as much as our dog did! Flowers, homemade cakes and milk and wine was a very nice welcome too. Property is very well appointed to visit so many delightful market towns within a 30 to 40 mile radius. Would definately recommend Greenacres and would love to stay here again. Linda, Carol and Poppy x
Lovely bungalow, clean and spacious . Welcome pack was nice to have, needed a cuppa on arrival and the cakes were great. Loved the views and the masts were fascinating kept counting them, got to 26 occasionally. Would and will recommend to friends, hopefully will visit again..
Very pleased with the property and would definitely stay there again, a few things to suggest to help you. A little plastic basket under the sink with cloths and sprays would have helped us help you keep the property clean, hopefully you would have never known we had been there, but a few more cleaning materials would have helped. Also a bottle of soap by each sink, would have been great. Finally, my wife is disabled and uses a wheelchair, she found it really easy to get round the property as their is plenty of space with good access through all the doors. As she has soon mobility, she could manage the step in without much difficulty as it is quite small. We think you are missing an opportunity, if you built a small ramp to enter the building, you could promote this property as wheelchair friendly, as you can get all the way round the building inside and out in a chair and most people bring things like a bath lift or a shower chair with them anyway from home. Disabled friendly properties are difficult to find, particularly in this price range and we definitely recommend it to anyone with mobility issues.
What a fantastic cottage , wonderfully surroundings. The cottage had everything you could ever need only down side was the tv it's to small for the size of the lounge. But would definitely recommend it to anyone. 1010

We had a lovely break at Greenacres, couldn't believe the trouble the owner went to baking home made cakes and giving us a bottle of wine, we also had enough tea sugar and other incidentals, to make our stay very enjoyable, thank you once again it was greatly appreciated
Greenacres was very nice and clean, great location, lovely stay, only possible down side for me as someone with severe mobilty issues the shower was very awkward for me to use. but otherwise facilities were great. Thankyou to our hosts for the lovely cake and wine on our arrival.
Clarissa
Green Acres is spacious & comfortable with fabulous views. It has a well equipped kitchen, quality towels & bed linen. Only the occasional farm vehicle passes by from the owner's farm so it's very quiet & peaceful. The lane is off the A49 so there is easy access to surrounding areas. Visited 2 nearby National Trust sites, Croft Castle & Berrington Hall. Hosts & family are very helpful and friendly and provide a good welcome pack of home made cake, wine & flowers plus kitchen towel & enough milk, tea, coffee & sugar to to get you started. Had a very enjoyable holiday.

Lovely bungalow, wonderful setting. Couldn't wish for more. Garden area ideal for the dogs. Will be recommending to family and friends
The bungalow was super, it was quiet and tranquil, the interior was decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of plates etc for the dishwasher to be used. The garden was well tended, and it was a real delight to sit outside. Would recommend it to anyone.
Kelvin
Really nice, spacious bungalow that is in a very nice country spot and is well appointed with everything you would need. Very nice welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, very nice homemade cake and a nice bottle of wine. Only downside was that the oven needed cleaning. This may well have been done by now.
Spotless, spacious, good location, lovely view, and a fabulous welcoming cake, wine and milk. Thank you very much.
Lovely stay, thank you. Used on the spur of the moment, due to another host cancelling on us after we had already driven 100 miles. Lovely place and setting and did apologise for the lack of notice, but really appreciated you fitting us in. We know you said you usually leave flowers and cake out, which we felt bad about, so my daughter and I picked you some flowers to say thanks!

We were six adults staying at Greenacres for a New Year's eve break and the cottage was perfect. Great quiet location yet close to Ludlow and other attractions. The cottage was very comfortable and felt very homely. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to make evening meals for six. The two double bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable. The twin was a bit on the small side for two adults but comfortable nonetheless. We really appreciated the nice welcome gifts and being able to check a little later than required. Only improvement would be the kettle which didn't work very well. Bit only a very minor inconvenience. We had a great time and would highly recommend Greenacres.
Ideal home away from home. Quiet rural location only a short drive away from ludlow and leominster. The house was spotlessly clean and the welcome cake and wine was a nice touch. All of the rooms are a good size. The only slight issue was the tv in the living room is slightly too small for the size of the living room. I would rate the property 9.9 out of 10. If the tv was bigger i would rate it 10 out of 10
Lovely bungalow, lots of space and a perfect garden for the dog. We were lucky the weather was gorgeous but we would still have enjoyed our stay whatever. Grateful for the gifts left by the owners
Pamela
We had a lovely stay at Greenacres, very clean and comfortable, everything we needed. Fabulous garden,Digby loved watching the squirrel. Great places to visit with lots of walking. We will definitely be returning. Flowers, wine cakes and milk were very welcoming.Pam and Malcolm.
Veronica
The bungalow was an ideal place for me to take my 90 year old Mum and her dog on holiday. The bungalow was lovely and clean, just needed to clean the sugar and coffee containers. We had no problem finding the place and on the whole it was lovely and quiet, it was nice sitting outside on the patio enjoying the lovely weather. Garden was well enclosed so we didnt have to worry about Louis, our dog, getting out. We had a problem with the tv which was dealt with promptly by the owners. Well equipped with everything we needed, and nice to have the homemade cakes, wine, milk and flowers.
Philip
Because of disability found the three pierce suite far to low trouble in getting up from seat. Wi Fi was good, nice TV and bungalow well equipped
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. Huge garden for dogs and children to let off steam. Everything you need for a fabulous holiday. The property is plenty big enough for 6 people. On arrival the property was spotless and there was a lovely homemade cake for us to enjoy. Huge kitchen with everything you need for evening meals once you've mastered the induction hob. Thank you for a fabulous stay we will certainly return another year
Norman
We could not find any information sheet showing the nearest medical facilities, recycling facilities, ATM, Petrol, Vets, Church, Supermarket, Post Office, Park & Ride, etc. WE HAD NO VISIT BY THE OWNERS DURING OUR STAY. Early doors, we made contact with the owners, by mobile phone, about the appalling wifi but nothing was done. The situation of the property needs to be emphasised that access is by a singlelane, poorly maintained. road which is also used by farm vehicles, commercial vehicles as well as residents, dog walkers, and pedestrians. On property maintenance, the sugar caddy contained solidified contents, the tea container had 2 two Earl Grey tea bags and one teabag of doubtful origin. The coffee container had 3 coffee bags on top of some instant coffee granules, again of doubtful origin. Apart from a smart TV, there was no CD or DVD player. 'Attention to detail' would be my watchword. Oh, I couldn't find the carbon monoxide alarm recommended on the last 2023 central heating boiler service sheet, found in the kitchen. I am we are NOT mystery shoppers, just Jo Public with reasonably wide experience of using selfcatering both here, and in the. USA, Canada, and Western Europe.
This is a lovely place to stay to chill and relax beautiful garden to sit in when the weather was good, and plenty of room to relax inside when the weather was not so good. Lovely touches with the flowers, wine and milk in the fridge and a very nice homemade cake......thank you.
Lesley
Lovely place to stay. Lots of room and space Close to a main road but far enough away ypu wouldnt know
Lovely super clean property in a scenic rural location though close enough to the main roads to enable access to the surrounding towns and areas of interest. Well equipped, spacious and with a large dog friendly garden. It was fun watching the sheep with their lambs in the next field. A shaving mirror in an easier location would have been useful as would a bigger bed but we would happily return for another stay in a beautiful area.
We had a lovely Christmas at Greenacres. We were warm and comfortable, and we appreciated the seasonal decorations, chocolates, and wine. A lovely place to stay! I imagine it's very pleasant in the summer, with the large, dogfriendly, secure garden and the wonderful patio to sit on and enjoy the evenings. Thank's!
The owners of Greenacres were really friendly and we had a fabulous welcome of flowers and chocolates and there was milk etc in the fridge. The bungalow was exactly as described and was well maintained and comfortable. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and all of the appliances and cutlery and crockery etc were excellent. We stayed for three weeks before Christmas and being at the end of a dead end road surrounded by sheep and cows was exactly what we needed to wind down before the Christmas festivities. I cant recommend this property enough if you want a comfortable and peaceful break.
Trevor
A very well kept property that is accurately described in the advert. We stayed in October and it was very comfortable and cosy. We all slept well and enjoyed the roomy dining room for family meals which are a major part of our holiday time. The kitchen is a good size and adquately equipped for a holdiay stay. We'd happily return if we decide to holiday in the Welsh Marches again
An excellent property. Very comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Great views of the countryside and good size garden.
Lovely property, owners of cottage are very welcoming we had a great stay ... Lovely property, owners of cottage are very welcoming we had a great stay would recommend the cottage to friends and family
What wonderful hosts! ! Lovely home made cake and fresh flowers to welcome us. The property is in a great location, very rural but still within ten minutes of shops and pubs. A great spot to tour the area. Huge garden and the bungalow is deceivingly spacious, we had some great games of hide and seek. Only negative would be to have black out blinds in the bedrooms for light sleepers like us!
We were very impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of the bungalow. Welcoming gifts of cake, wine and flowers were very much appreciated. All this in lovely surroundings.
Judith
A comfortable bungalow with lovely kitchen, dining room and bathroom. Older bed not very comfortable and lounge furniture rather old fashioned. We had problems with the shower but the owners did everything they could to fix it and it's now working fine. Lovely garden, nice to see the sheep in next field. Lovely welcome cakes.
Very clean and tidy bungalow. We enjoyed the stay. The two pubs in Brimfield were welcoming and served decent food. The weather was not great so an outside taphose to wash off dogs would have been a bonus. Many thanks
Major problem was hot water from the shower. We had NO hot water at all in the morning and found that hot water was only available from about 1pm onwards. This caused a problem with 5 people wanting to shower each morning but being unable to do so. Other than this property was well equipped and very clean . An added bonus was the welcome pack and the Xmas decorations and tree.
