Is Blossom's Cottage Right For You?

Discover why this cottage is ideal for different types of visitors

For Families
Children love the on-site facilities at Blossom's Cottage. Guests can book toddlers into the adjacent day nursery and access soft play areas, playgrounds and a Jungle Gym after 6pm and at weekends. The annexe studio gives older children their own space with a double bedroom and TV. Fifty acres of woodland provide natural play areas and exploration opportunities. The Hazlers Bothy offers fire pit fun and outdoor seating.
For Couples
Blossom's Cottage works better for families than couples due to its layout and facilities. The property includes two separate buildings rather than one intimate space. The south-facing conservatory offers peaceful morning coffee and the woodland walks provide romantic strolls. However, the adjacent day nursery and focus on children's facilities make this less suitable for a quiet romantic escape. Couples wanting countryside peace might prefer properties without nursery proximity.
Pet Friendly
One well-behaved dog is welcome at Blossom's Cottage. The property sits within 50 acres of private woodland offering excellent walking trails right from your door. The rear gravelled garden provides secure outdoor space. Nearby Shawbury village has local pubs within 0.4 miles for post-walk refreshments. The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies 15 miles away for longer countryside adventures with your dog.

Blossom's Cottage Reviews

We had an excellent few days break at Blossoms Cottage. It is a lovely cottage and very comfortable. There is so much to do and see in the area and, above all, peace and quiet is amazing. It was great to walk around the nearby woodland and there are two very welcoming local pubs nearby. Sharon and Mike are very welcoming hosts and we will definitely be returning.
Jacqueline
Blossoms cottage is a nice detached 2 storey building with adjacent detached annex situated off the main courtyard next to Hazles Farm Childcare. It has a tennis court too, if you have the inclination. The owners are friendly and helpful whilst the property itself is really nice with everything you could need during your stay. We were impressed by the cleanliness, and it was nice to have effective central heating and a good sized shower, also a very comfortable bed, all set in a quiet location. We enjoyed some excellent meals at the Fox and Hounds Gastropub in Shawbury, there is also a nice well stocked garden centre with caf, exactly a 1 mile walk down the road, as well as a small pub turning left out of the farm gate. The cottage also has a south facing conservatory ideal for an afternoon coffee or evening appetiser. Thank you Sharon and Mike for your hospitality and the kind gift of a bottle of Italian bubbly.
Kitchen lacked any bowls, dishwasher tablets or bin liners. Annexe was cold compared with the house one radiator never got warm. Annexe wet room lacked any means of drying the floor. The owners were very friendly. Property well located easy access to Shrewsbury and the countryside.
Lovely cottage, owners very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend
Richard
We had awesome stay at Blossoms cottage. Extremely impressed with the accommodations. The annex was great for the kids as it gave them their own little space as well as ours. Sharon and Mike were also friendly throughout out stay and accommodating to us. Will definitely be looking to return here as its a great place to stay and within easy reach of Shrewsbury. Thanks for our stay
I had a wonderful week staying in this lovely cottage. A nice touch was the welcome items the owners provided such as home baked biscuits, eggs from their chickens as well as fresh flowers picked from their garden. The cottage had all the facilities I needed and was very comfortable.
We had a lovely holiday. We had never stayed in Shropshire before and we discovered so many places to visit! Blossoms Cottage is very comfortable and had everything we needed. Sharon and Mike were excellent hosts. Had the weather been better we would have attempted some of the walks close to the cottage, so we have that in mind for our next visit!
Richard
Excellent cottage with good sized rooms located in a very quiet location. Nice to be able to sit in the conservatory or garden for a relax after visiting the local attractions. Good shower in the bathroom and comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends.
We are very happy to recommend this lovely little cottage which was exactly as it looks in the photos. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, just two minutes drive to the thriving village of Shawbury with all the required amenities, butchers, bakers, cooperative store, pubs, fish and chips and other takeaways and a short drive to Shrewsbury. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and anxious to please. Lovely little country pub and amazing garden centre just down the lane, a minutes drive or a brisk twenty minute walk. We would return in an instant.
Rebecca
We had a Brilliant stay here at the cottage for 6 nights with our little one. The cottage and annex had everything you would need for a home from home stay. The owners were lovely and helpful and our son loved the soft play and playground once the nursey closed. We cant wait to come back!
Alison
A home from home . A great place to relax and unwind. Tennis court a bonus. Host were great nothing to much trouble wished we had longer to stay .
Loads to do in the area and the hosts were absolutely lovely. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and so did their family. Great facilities at the cottage, particularly the children's play areas and woods which our kids adored.
