Bishop's Castle (3 miles, 8 minutes) hosts one of Britain's oldest breweries. Clun Castle ruins (3 miles, 8 minutes) offer scenic picnic spots. Stokesay Castle (13 miles, 22 minutes) is a 14th-century fortified manor. Powis Castle and Gardens (19 miles, 32 minutes) features terraced gardens.
