Linley Lane Cottage Reviews

The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped. The owners left a welcome pack which was much appreciated. The only points we would raise is the parking which as stated is in a lay by up the road which does make it inconvenient for unloadingloading luggage and shopping. Also no gate out on to the road, but a gate into a seating area, ideally the gate would be repositioned to the edge of the property to make it safer for dogs. All in all a nice holiday cottage in a very quiet hamlet, with unobtrusive owners next door. Stunning scenery too !
Carole
We had a lovely week at linley lane cottage, everything was clean & comfortable and we had everything we could have wanted in the cottage . ..& more ,lovely bedding, battery operated candle at top of the stairs was a great idea , cleaning products ,bottle of fizz, milk & eggs . Pub & shop 2 miles away as stated & nice quiet roads too. We had an issue using the smart tv & ian came over & remedied it for us ,was nice & helpful but didnt encroach on our space at all but we knew they were on nearby if we needed anything . Lovely quiet area with dark skies too ,we would stay again if we were comming to shropshire . Stokesay castle is a must & also liked church stretton ,with dog walks around lower long mynd from the town .
Caroline
Wonderful cottage with lovely hosts. The area is fantastic for walking enthusiasts.
Beautiful cottage set amidst the Shropshire hills. Owners v helpful but unobtrusive, and left us a welcome pack which was a kind gesture. The cottage was clean, spacious and comfortable with a large kitchen and dining area, cosy lounge with smart TV, comfortable beds and bedrooms and a decent walk in shower. Nice patio area to sit out front in, although we were out most days exploring so had little chance to use it. You can park by the cottage to load and unload and then just a very short 12 minute walk away there is a lay by on the lane to park up in. Highly recommended. Thank you Ann and Tony
Melissa
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location with very friendly and helpful owners. We had a fantastic family week away.
We had an excellent Christmas stay and will definitely be back. Lovely cottage in stunning location, welcoming hosts and really appreciated the festive decorations! Cottage is comfortable and well equipped even had a little cupboard for all the dogs needs! Ideal base for us visiting family and friends in the area. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Linley Lane cottage. The property is very well furnished with comfy sofas and beds. It was clean and tidy, and had lots of nice little extras like tea, coffee, soap etc which you don't always get, and was very much appreciated. This is clearly a cottage that welcomes dogs, as there is an extra little cupboard for all your dogs needs. The owners were very warm, friendly and helpful when we needed them, but otherwise left us to enjoy our stay. The location is fantastic for all sorts of great places around Shropshire. It's a wonderful place to visit, and we would definitely use this cottage again. Thank you for a lovely stay
What a lovely holiday cottage. The bedrooms and shower were fantastic. Big sociable kitchen was great too, with everything you could think of. Sitting room was cosy but we didn't really use it as it was summer. The tiny garden around the cottage is really beautiful and the location suited our needs well. The only comment I would make is that the access was not very easy for one of our party with some mobility problems and I don't think this was very clear from the description. The owners were on hand if needed, and friendly and helpful.

Thank you Ian and Ann for a lovely second stay in your beautiful holiday cottage. It really is a home from home with absolutely everything you could need or wish for. It's extremely wellequipped, warm, comfortable, dogfriendly and spotlessly clean with lots of extra little touches and in a beautiful location with walks straight from the door. Ian and Ann are so helpful and yet totally respectful of guests' privacy at the same time. The area is great for walking and there are lots of interesting places Bishops Castle, Clun, Montgomery to visit. We'd totally recommend this cottage if you're looking for the perfect rural base from which to explore this stunning area.
Exactly what we wanted for myself husband and niece. Spotlessly clean, good location. Would love to return to explore area more

We stayed at this property between 2312 and 271223. It is a lovely property in a very peaceful place. The couple who own it were on hand if we needed anything but werent intrusive. The property was well equipped with new appliances, Netflix, fast broadband and was very clean and tastefully decorated. It is often the little things that make all the difference and the owners made it a home from home. They had left Prosecco and a carton of fresh milk in the fridge, a jar of homemade jam, biscuits, coffee, tea and sugar. They had also put up some Christmas decorations for us. We had a lovely relaxing time. Highly recommend
Robert
Absolutely lovely cottage, we very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage is done to a fantastic standard and in such a peaceful location. Thank you for such a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the country and thank you also for the sausage rolls and scones when we were leaving. Very yummy!
Just arrived home from a midweek stay at Linley Lane Cottage. We were in much need of some peace and quiet and Norbury certainly delivered. A beautiful little village with stunning views and a lovely calm peaceful aura about it. The cottage was a welcoming cosy little home, clean and fresh, equipped with everything you could need. We love Shropshire and this is by far the nicest part we have visited. Thank you Ian and Ann for your kind and respectful hospitality
Beautiful cottage in a fantastic, quiet location. Very comfortable, clean and tidy. Kitchen very well equipped. WiFi excellent and TV was a good size for watching. Owners very friendly and very helpful. Loved our 3 day break here. Village was gorgeous. Welcome pack of eggs, wine and milk much appreciated especially as we had forgotten to bring our own milk. Thank you Ian and Ann

The host lady was just absolutely lovely and her property gave us the best straight forward young family weekend getaway we could have hoped for!

We had a lovely few days at Linley Lane. We really appreciated the extra touches that made it feel very homely and it was extremely well equipped. The owners have put a lot of thought into making our stay perfect. It is located in such a lovely part of Shropshire and we had some wonderful walks. We hope to come back soon.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday or if you are looking for the outdoor life with lots of beautiful scenery and plentiful walking trails Kinley Lane cottage is for you. The hosts couldn't have been more helpful and the cottage is well equipped. No garden to let the dog run in but plenty of flowery verges and hedgerows for him to check out. A property to return to!
Tricia
What a fantastic holiday cottage this is. Perfect hosts, making it clear that they would be there if we needed anything, but at the same time totally respecting our privacy. The cottage has a lovely ambience and is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a really relaxing stay. A lot of effort has gone into the dcor, the sofas and beds were comfortable, the kitchendiner was spacious and its also very dog friendly, which is important to us. Norbury is off the beaten track and there are many walks with stunning views straight from the cottage door. The cottage has a series of little maps covering the Shropshire Hills that were useful to take out and about. We fell totally in love with the cottage and the area and will definitely return for a repeat stay. If youre looking for a cottage in a rural village setting thats a perfect base for a walking or touring holiday, then Linley Lane Cottage totally fits the bill. Thank you.
Michael
A lovely cottage in a very peaceful location. We used this as a base to visit friends in Brosely, Ludlow and the Long Mynd. All easily reached with stunning scenery all around. The welcome was warm and friendly from the hosts. Kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. Pub is approximate 2 miles away but we did not get chance to visit. Cosy lounge with smart TV and comfy sofas. Bedrooms were a good size and comfortable beds. Good size shower with excellent water pressure. Small private area at front of cottage was useful for our dog and would be great to sit out in better weather. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.
Andrea

We loved our stay. So quiet. Well equipped kitchen and loved the cosy underfloor heating. Friendly and helpful owners.
Ian and Anne were great hosts and made us very welcome. Lovely cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Terrific location for walking and exploring the area.
Great cottage with all the facilities you could need, if your looking for a get away from it all rural holiday it's ideal, a car is a must ! As it is two miles from the nearest shop, so make sure you pack all your essentials, it is dog friendly and a great area for walking, the owners Ian and Ann live nextdoor and are really nice people, parking is about 50 yards away as the cottage is on corner junction.
Great property, in a lovely quiet location, very well maintained and with helpful, kindly owners nearby to give any help that may be required. Recommend!
We loved our stay at Linley Lane Cottage! Such a quiet peaceful location. The cottage itself was really cosy comfy beds and we loved the little fire in the living room. All the extra touches are so nice the teddies in the bedrooms and the fabric on the drawer tops etc! The owners gave us a kind welcome and were around if we needed anything.
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was comfortable with with everything that we needed. We would definitely come again!
Absolutely a gem of a cottage with everything youd need and many more touches than expected. The views are amazing and the owners could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend and its a ten from us. We hope a return soon.

We had a lovely break at this gem of a cottage. It was decorated to a high standard and was comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Lovely towels and linen too. Though there wasn't a lot of outdoor space, there were walks close by and the location was very pretty with fantastic views of the hills. We found a great pub in Bishops Castle, 8 minutes drive away. We would recommend it to our family and friends. A fabulous stay. Thank you.
Jennifer
Lovely cottage, the only problem for us, was that it was very hot. The owners, who live next door, were very helpful and even said we didn't have to leave early as the cottage would be vacant for 2 days. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the bathroom had a very good shower. The cottage is in a very pretty village and both Church Stratton and Bishops Castle are easily accessible.
Darren
Lovely couple so welcoming and friendly. Baggins my dog loved the bed all prepared and the extra little touches made what was a difficult time easier to deal with thank you and well done
