The Brewhouse Reviews

Jacqueline
Self check in was very suitable for us as we arrived late. It was warm and welcoming and just what we needed after a long drive. Very comfortable and equipt well to enable us to cook our favourites, good fridge freezer to accomodate ingredients. Comfortable bed and good shower, simple but just right. This break was designed to be a retreat and it was that. Loved hearing the owls hooting, in what was otherwise a silent environment. In the morning watching the mist rise and the hills appear is wonderful. Managed a little walking while here, but a longer stay would have certainly encouraged even more as this is the perfect place for it. Batteries recharged now, but I hope to be back again soon.
Lovely comfortable cottage with walking from the door everything we hoped for!
Hayley
The location and hospitality were faultless. We wanted to be as remote as possible for peace and quiet and access to the hill. The owners were delightful, friendly and helpful, determined to ensure we had the best week. We enjoyed chatting with them. The cottage is authentically rustic with traditional features of wooden staircase, beams and low doorways. The shower caused daily conversations as pressure and temperature fluctuated. Given the great weather this didn't matter but in cooler weather would have been annoying. The roll top bath was a treat. The sitting room would perhaps benefit from some newer furniture.
Hilary
We loved our stay at the Brewhouse in July. It is a beautiful setting in the countryside with walks to the Long Mynd straight from the door. We watched fledging swallows from the outside seats with swifts , kites and bats easy to spot too.Sorry we missed out on seeing the sand martins Some hot cold water pressure issues with the shower but not massive. Liked the large kitchen, plenty of room for four people. Plenty of equipment for cooking, no issues there. The Green Dragon a short drive away was good for food, very full on a Tuesday teatime so booking might be needed. We parked in the layby near the Vending Hut opposite Church Stretton for other walks, Caer Caradoc etc. The original beams and brick oven features are great but watch out for the low door frames! Tom , Ali and Brian were very friendly and quick to help us out with any issues.
Patricia
It was a lovely place and everything was great though, as this was March, we would have liked the main kitchendining room a bit warmer and the central heating to switch on earlier, possible at 4 pm instead of 4. 30.
Lovely annexe on farm. Superb quiet location in small hamlet in foothill Long Mynd. Practical outside seating. Well equipped and comfy and modernised. Responsive host when had a couple of minor issues
We absolutely loved our stay at the Brewhouse! Tom and his family made us feel so welcomed. We loved learning more about the history and local area. The cottage is in the perfect location, with plenty of walks on your doorstep or just a short drive away. We loved the kitchen and dining area and it was fantastic to have so much space. We both fell in love with Shropshire and will definitely be returning! Thank you Tom, Brian and co for our wonderful stay and always being on hand.
Jeremy
A comfortable cottage with a good kitchen and dining area and a beautiful bathroom. The lounge area is a little small but with good weather one we were able to use the outside patio. A very nice and comfortable cottage. A particular thanks to Tom, the owner, who couldnt have been more helpful or friendly.
The cottage proved to be an excellent venue for our holiday. Our hosts were particularly welcoming and looked after us during our stay. We found the cottage to be well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Both arrival and departure were straightforward. We would be very happy to stay at the cottage on another occasion.
