32 Church Hill Reviews

Elaine
This is a very nice property with a great view, nicely set out and cosy and warm with a comfortable bed. Pubs and places to eat within walking distance, yes the property is on a hill but that's why you get the view or a short drive the car park. There are steps via the church.
Giovanna
Excellent cottage with everything you need for a break away, the beds were very comfortable and the power shower was great! Ironbridge with its shops and cafes is a ten minute stroll away but the walk back is steep with fantastic views. We will definitely return to this cosy, comfortable cottage.
Very lovely and comfortable, great care had been taken to make our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Would like to make the owners aware their attention to detail made this a very lovely break. Thank you.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. Beds were very comfortable everywhere was restfull. Views outstanding. Would definitely stay there again. Linda Blewitt.
Its a lovely quiet location with nice walk down to the town and bridge but lots of steps. Lots to do with the Ironbridge museums. Severn Valley Railway is worth a visit at Bridgenorth. House is very comfortable and warm.
We had a lovely week visiting all the local museums which are fascinating and very well presented. The Jackfield Tile Museum and Blists Hill were especially good. We arrived by train and bus and travelled around all week using buses to Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock and RAF Cosford. The local transport is excellent, so great for a car free trip. We liked the cottage and location very much. The walk up from Ironbridge is a bit steep at the end of the day but we found some steps which were easier. The walk to Benthall Hall from the bridge is quite demanding up many wooden steps through the woods maybe there's a better route. The cottage is comfortable with a great shower and up to date TV. Do watch the local DVDs provided, they are a great introduction to the area. The only off putting thing was there were some big spiders in the kitchen, although it is the time of year for them. It was really helpful to find milk in the fridge when we arrived and thank you for the Prosecco and biscuits.
Lovely property with everything that you needed for an enjoyable holiday, just a ten minute walk from the bridge. Handy to pack and unpack with the car just outside of the door, but not so keen on the steep hill which it was on. Generous welcome gifts left for us, a very nice touch. Would use again and would definately recommend.
Sandra
Very comfortable and cosy cottage Well equipped home from homeVery good power shower and nice comfortable bed and very much appreciated welcome pack would definitely stay again.
An excellent base for exploring Shropshire. The accommodation had all we needed for our stay, clean and comfortable. Parking outside the house was very convenient. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely stay at this beautiful cottage, just perfect in every way!
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Everything you need is in walking distance.
Amazingly clean, warm, comfy and an incredible view over the gorge. Plenty to see locally with 8 museums, walks the black swan and shakespeare both good options for food mid walk , pubs and the Ironbridge. Shrewsbury 30 mins away by bus 96 or car and a roman town on the way. Do try the pork pies in Ironbridge plus old pubs and market in Shrewsbury and Park and Ride at 1 !
We had a wonderful last minute stay between Christmas and New Year. The cottage was so cosyand comfortable we will definitely be back.

This cottage was a beautiful little place for our weekend away. The location and view is stunning especially in the bedrooms and it was nice and clean it didnt quite get full marks because we felt upstairs hadnt been hoovered very well as my husband trod on a clothing tag and there was a few little bits on the carpet. Everything was comfy and a log burner was an added bonus it added to the cosy cottage feeling. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could imagine and everything worked well. We only had trouble with the toilet which needed attention on the last day and we alerted the owner so they can fix this. The shower is great. Overall a perfect place for a few nights stay exploring ironbridge. I would just warn anyone staying that there is a very steep hill down into ironbridge and its a fairly long walk to blists hill but if you love walking this will not be an issue.
32 Church Hill is a real home from home. Everything we needed had been thought of. Extremely clean, very comfortable and the welcome basket was really appreciated. Top of my tick list is always a comfy bed and this was definitely met. Set in a lovely area, with fabulous views. We were grateful for the easy parking close to the Cottage. Others have mentioned the walk from the town to the cottage being a challenge and we would agree, but it in no way spoiled our experience. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

A nice but quirky little house. Fascinating finding the back door on first floor. Also found it very odd lying in bed looking at the ceiling with the different angles.but all a very comfortable place. A couple of small details, the cistern needs some attention as the handle had to be returned manually otherwise it kept flushing, the fridge was a little bit on small side could do with a normal sized under counter fridge only and possible a small table top freezer in the laundry room same as we have found in other small properties.

Great place to stay amazing view over valley plus ideal for touring area ... Great place to stay amazing view over valley plus ideal for touring area seating area to rear could do with brighting up a bit but nice place to sit otherwise would stay again
Adrian
Lovely property with great attention to detail. Super location,
Easy parking, enjoyed the cottage. The views from bedroom were brilliant, couldnt fault the place.
Catherine
The property is well provisioned and in an excellent position away from the main road. The views from the bedroom window are wonderful and the outside space was a joy to use when we relaxed at the end of the day. It was a lovely surprise to find teacoffee and milk when we arrived and the other treats were also appreciated. The location was so good that we didn't have to move the car all week, as all the museum's were within easy walking distance. We also walked to Buildwas Abby and Benthall Hall, which were both close by and worth a visit. The best thing was how clean and comfortable it was. Thank you!
Graham
The cottage was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable weeks holiday in May, including a nice welcome pack, the area was very nice, the only downside was the steep hill to walk up after visiting the town, we had to take a breather a couple of times and we consider ourselves reasonably fit in our 70s.
Lovely cottage in a great location. We really appreciated the parking near the cottage. Thank you for the wine, milk and biscuits. We will definitely come back to this cottage.
A lovely well turned out property, with all the comforts of home. A quiet location with easy access to Ironbridge Town.
A delightful cottage for 3 which retains original features such as fireplaces while providing comfortable, retrothemed modern facilities. The bedrooms have stunning views across the river. We had a very pleasant weekend there. It is about a 5minute walk down into Ironbridge town with its independent shops and cafes and of course the Ironbridge, but note you need to be reasonably fit to manage the uphill walk back! Pay close attention to directions as the upper roads of Ironbridge are quite narrow with some acute junctions.
Really liked how modern everything was, door handles, taps etc felt tight as a drum. Oven was a bit tricky, kept turning itself off during cooking, but this seemed to sort itself out by the end of the week. Smoke alarms were too sensitive, went off every time we had a fry up. Seating and bed were very comfortable. Lovely to have enough condiments, laundrydishwasher tabs etc for the week. Parking pass was a nice touch too. Overall a fantastic property and would definitely use again when in the area.
A very enjoyable break in a lovely comfortable and clean cottage. Could not have asked for anywhere better.
Barbara
Lovely cottage well situated for all attractions.
A wonderful cottage. Bright, clean and beautiful and so well maintained and equipped. We loved it. The owners have thought of everything. Iron bridge is an amazing place. There is so much to see and do in the town and the walking is fantastic too. The views from the bedroom windows are spectacular. Such a special place.
A lovely cottage in a great location and so good to have parking.
Christine
We really enjoyed our stay. 32 Church Hill had everything that we needed and hosts Janet and Mick could not have been more helpful. Location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and parking right outside the house was great. Would definitely recommend.
Matthew
I love this property, perfect for me as a solo traveller. I came in May, but have an op due shortly so fancied a pre op winter break, to really use the wood burner which didn't disappoint. On this occasion, owner Janet texted to warn me a couple of roads were shut, a great help as I was able to adjust my route in to avoid the Christmas lights switch on. Very grateful for that, this is a lovely place, in a nice central location for Shropshire. Definitely check it out just not when I want to book it, please ! Matt
Caroline
Lovely property and a fab place to stay for a girly weekend getaway. Quiet, close to all the local amenities and really well equipped. Would definitely return.
Andrew
Lovely well equipped cottage with a quirky vintage style in a great setting ideal for the amenities and attractions of Ironbridge. Lots of fascinating sites within walking distance, as long as you don't mind the climb back up Church Hill.
Cosy, comfortable cottage with everything a couple need for a good stay away from home. Car parking is on the road which is tight so maybe not the best choice if you own a 4x4 but fine for a smallmedium sized car. Very handy for the Gorge and all the industrial historic sites as well as for exploring Shropshire. Good value for money.
Alexandra
Exceptionally clean cottage. Loved the vintage theme running throughout and the welcome pack was much appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment.
We loved it! Nicely presented, quiet and a short walk down into Ironbridge and over to the Coalbrookdale museums. It suited us perfectly.
Property was comfortable and well equipped. Great position for visiting all the local attractions and National Trust. Even used the local bus to Shrewsbury. As said property is on a hill, but by the end of the week, it got easier! Thank you for a lovely stay and the welcome pack.
I found two bugs under my pillow, which really startled me. Several cobwebs throughout the cottage. However on out arrival there was a nice fresh smell about the whole cottage.
We found the cottage to be clean, comfortable and well provisioned, perfect for visiting Ironbridge and the surrounding area. Just one small thing, we would have preferred a shower room rather than a shower in the bath.
Excellent cottage, well equipped. Nice kitchen with everything you could need provided. Very comfy bed. Excellent position within Ironbridge. We had a great week at the cottage and hope to return.
