Berwyn View Reviews

The accommodation is fantastic. Very clean, comfy beds, great view. Its basically a home away from home. The hosts are lovely and very friendly and very accommodating. We definitely recommend this place.
Very clean, comfortable as well as warm. Lovely views. Perfect for us visiting relatives and walking in the area. Good equipment in the kitchen and we hope to visit again. Many thanks
WOW. Everything about this property is perfect. Location ideal with fantastic views and close to Welshpool for local amenities. The property was spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable furnishings, which all looked and felt brand new. Cant fault it at all. We will definitely visit again in the near future, this will be a favourite for us. We have been staying in lots of properties over the last 30 years and this is easily in our top three. Thank you for the welcome pack.
Philip Stephen
A lovely cottage very clean, well equipped and so comfortable. Great views and so peaceful. The hosts were friendly and available if needed. So much to do in the area especially National Trust properties. A great place to stay.
An outstanding property, warm, very well equipped, quiet and private, with lovely views, conveniently situated, and reasonably priced. Very pleasant and helpful owners.
Jackie
Beautiful spot with wonderful views. We were able to walk into Welshpool. Although for some it may be to far and steep. Enjoyed canal walks as well as visit to Powys Castle and Barmouth by train. Hope to stay again.
This was our second stay at the Berwyn View Welshpool. The bungalow is spacious with wonderful views across the Berwyn Hills. Martin & Kathryn made us most welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Hoping to visit again next year.

A lovely bright and airy cottage with a perfect view, friendly hosts and a wonderfully quiet location. The only downsides for us traveling by train with no car was the climb uphill. But that does give you the lovely views. The cottage was extremely clean and the kitchen very well equipped. Spacious bathroom and bedroom and a great outside space.

We made a good choice with Berwyn Cottage Perfect location. Very helpful owners The property has everything one would require for a holiday We would no hesitation in giving top marks.
A clean, modern, and comfortable well maintained bungalow with conservatory. A beautiful spot with amazing views. Would definitely recommend it and booking with Sykes for your holiday.
A lovely cottage. Very clean and everything you would need for a holiday. Very relaxing. Amazing views and lots of bird life to watch. Central to many things to visit. We can thoughly recommend The Raven pubrestaurant, which was a very short car ride away. The welcome pack was a lovely thought. Thank you Martin and Kathryn for a lovely short break.
Our second stay at Berwyn View and it was lovely to come back again. Although the weather wasnt as kind this time, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay wonderful location and very relaxing. We spent a couple of days visiting Shrewsbury a lovely town and well worth a visit. Highly recommend Berwyn View.
Simply the best
Fantastic accommodation & the owners Kathryn & Martin so lovely. Would very much like to visit again.

Extremely happy with our stay, Martin was very helpful and Kathryn too. The standard of the bungalow was very high, and the view was amazing. If you want some peace and quiet but very near to all amenities then Berwyn View is just right for you! 1010 and highly recommended!
We both loved Berwyn View! Absolutely stunning views over the valley and the bungalow was immaculate with so much attention to detail and everything you could wish for including the lovely welcome pack. Very peaceful sitting outside in the lovely garden with a refreshing sundowner in the evening! The location is perfect for visiting so many interesting places we visited Powis Castle, Welshpool Light Railway, Chirk Castle and spent a day out in Chester very handy for the Park & Ride just off the A483 south of Chester. Highly recommended. We will be back!
Excellent property and location. Are looking to book again in future.
A beautiful place to stay with everything needed. A warm welcome from the host and a generous welcome gift too. I would love to return some time.
Christopher
Our second time at this exceptional property. Excellent location, well equipped, warm & comfortable, clean & fresh, fantastic views. We hope to return.
The bungalow is so much nicer than the listing shows. It is beautifully decorated and furnished. Superb bed and piping hot shower. Everything has been catered for, and it is so peaceful with stunning views. The owners are only next door and are really friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. Absolutely loved our break, and will be returning. The map in Sykes site is slightly misleading and doesn't show accurately where the property sits, so follow the directions given to find it
From the moment we arrived the property had everything that we needed. There was even a quick visit from the owner too welcome us. Around five inches of snow were laid on overnight to add to the spectacular views. This resulted in a call from the owner to ensure we had everything we needed and advising us to turn up the heating if needed. The sleeping and living accommodation were comfortable the heating was effective throughout, except the conservatory, which was a shame as this overlooked the loverly valley. Thanks for providing a lovely property with great views, in a pleasantly quiet location, ensuring a restful time was had by everyone.
Lovely property. Very comfortable and clean. Suspect there has been a recent refurbishment as everywhere was lovely and to a high standard. Views from the property were also stunning. Only comment for future guests is to follow the direction instruction provided by Sykes. We used the postcode and sat nav and got a bit lost. Please pass our thanks on to our hosts for a lovely stay.
This is the perfect place. The facilities and comfort are first class the location convenient for walking in the area and the view from the property exceptional. The owners are very pleasant and helpful, and we felt how much they wanted us to enjoy our stay in their cottage. They provided everything we could need. We hope to book again for next year this will be our third visit.
Really enjoyed our stay so much that we booked again for next year. Hosts Martin & Kathryn made us very welcome and even offered to take us down to the railway station for our trip to Barmouth. The bungalow is very well appointed and the views are to die for. It is also very handy being able to park off road and have use of the delightful conservatory which catches the sun for most of the day. The property is spotlessly clean with a spacious garden to enjoy. Would certainly recommend a stay to this home from home.
Heather
What a fabulous cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed it. So clean, fresh and cosy, with plenty of space to relax and a most wonderful view when it's not misty. We had a restful week. The bed was so comfortable and had a lovely warm duvet. A pretty well kept garden too. The owners are just next door and were so friendly and we knew if we needed help they would be available. The area is really pleasant, with Welshpool, Oswestry and Powis Castle amongst our trips out. Thank you.
We so enjoyed the magnificent views! There were wonderful sunsets to watch through the conservatory. And a full moon rising visible from the side garden. The home was squeaky clean. And the goodies were a nice touch to welcome us. Highly recommend this home!
Lovely property with fabulous views. Immaculately clean with everything you could need for a relaxing break. The hosts Martin and Kathryn are very friendly and the welcome hamper was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and we hope to stay again
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bungalow and garden was immaculate and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular, we especially liked sitting in the conservatory looking out at the view. The welcome basket on arrival made the stay extra special. We would recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in the area. Thank you
Sharon
An excellent property. Very clean and maintained to a high standard. Very good stay with views across the hills. Beds were very comfortable. The sun room was excellent for relaxing in and lovely and quiet. Would definately return. The only gripe is that the TV is too small for the main living room. An excellent property and an enjoyable stay.
graham
An impressive bungalow with a fabulous setting! One slight criticism is the hob in the kitchen! Although the information on to operate it was provided we failed to get it to work!
Absolutely gorgeous place, home from home. We were treated to some actual sun while we stayed which made enjoying the garden so much fun. We will be back
Berwyn View is a lovely bungalow set in a wonderful location. The property was very clean and tidy and had everything that we needed for our minibreak. We were able to make trips to various places both in Wales and across into England. The instructions for finding the bungalow were very clear and we were met by Martyn and Kathryn when we arrived, which was nice. We would definitely highly recommend Berwyn View if you are looking to stay in the area.
We enjoyed staying at Berwyn View bungalow at Trelydan for it had everything that was needed to have a comfortable holiday. We were friendly welcomed by the owners on the first day and after that were left alone. The property was spotlessly clean and very tidy, a credit to them. We found visiting places very easy and once on the A490 you could get to most Welsh and English attractions. We would definitely recommend this holiday bungalow to anyone wishing to visit the area.
Sandra
Absolutely beautiful bungalow, spacious very clean an comfortable with everything you need. The location is perfect, set in lovely peaceful countryside, with stunning views all around yet minutes from amenities an eateries. Within easy reach of many great places to visit and explore. Definitely highly recommend you won't be disappointed. Sandy & Jim
This was our second stay at Berwyn view. The facilities have been improved even more by the addition of a conservatory facing a spectacular view. Martin and Kathryn are the perfect hosts, greeting us on arrival and then leaving us to enjoy our stay.
We had a most enjoyable stay in Berwyn View. The bungalow was modern, clean and well maintained, with all necessary fittings and equipment. A most generous welcome pack was provided We drank the wine, ate the Welsh cakes, and sampled the jam!. We made full use of the garden room with its extensive views of the Welsh mountains over which the setting sun provided a fitting end to each day. Just outside the town of Welshpool, the bungalow was an ideal location from which to explore local features and countryside. All in all, a most enjoyable holiday and thoroughly recommended to other visitors.
This property is outstanding, with very pleasant and helpful owners. The location is superb, with lovely views and easy access. The facilities are excellent, all in good working order and easy to use, including the heating. Very pleasant garden. We have booked to go again later in the year.
A fantastic, spacious 2 bedroom bungalow with amazing views. Very clean and tidy with all the essentials to provide a home from home. The new summer room is wonderful, just the place to relax and admire the views. Plenty to do in the area. Martin and Kathryn popped by to introduce themselves, and are ther if you need any assistance. We loved it here.
Christopher
This is a really excellent holiday property. It is clean, bright, comfortable, well maintained, has wonderful views and is close to town, whilst simultaneously being in the middle of the countryside. The recent addition of a garden room is a great improvement. Welshpool is a nice town, with plenty of shops, pubs and takeaways and has a good number of EV rapid chargers.
Our second stay at this fantastic property. Great location, very quiet with superb views. The cottage is well equipped, very clean and comfortable.
