The Fishermans Retreat Reviews

Wendy
This is a lovely cottage with a beautiful view of the river, and even though the pub car park is just in front of the property you don't notice it from inside.
Valerie
Wonderful stay. Lovely peaceful location.
Michael
Great location, lovely cottage near by pub was really good, great fishing and owners are very friendly and helpful will be back next year
Katrina
4 adults and 3 dogs stayed at this accommodation for 7 days. The cottage is a lovely size, clean and was stocked with all the basics required for our stay. Great for fishermen or train enthusiasts, none of the photos or reviews mention the property is right on top of a pub car park. Though the pub was not a problem, in fact great food and staff, the constent slamming of car doors set off our dogs. If you are looking for a quiet retreat I would recommend another cottage in the same location
Jane
The cottage was very clean and as only two of us we had plenty of space. The garden was secure for our dog. The location by the river was lovely. We were lucky enough to be there for the 40's D Day weekend celebrations. The food at the ship was great too.
Jacqueline
A cosy and comfortable cottage in a pretty location and a nice pub next door. Fabulous area for walking along the river and great cycling (if you donââ?¬â?¢t mind hills🤣 )
Fiona
Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Really dog friendly. Great pub just next door and nice walks along the river right from the property. Lots to see and do in the area.
Shirley
I think that when booked it should be pointed out the cottage goes by the name of the old trout not the fishermans retreat I had to phone owner because we could not find cottage the cottage is lovely and comfortable and we had a lovely stay but we do feel that the cleaners do not do there job properly dirty cooking utensils and the property had not been dusted this is substandard for the amount paid I think the owner should have a word with the cleaners because it's such a lovely cottage
Jane
The cottage was lovely
Vincent
Excellent cottage to stay at great layout and good outside space for the dogs to relax in. Peaceful listening to the bird life whilst staring out at the river. Better still right next to a pub which served good food and beer
Gillian
Lots of parking, beautiful countryside/river setting and a brilliant pub next door. The cottage itself is stunning with so much character and equipped with everything you need, such as plenty of cupboards and hangers and kitchen equipment. The rooms are spacious and the house is suitable for elderly people (there is a small step up to the kitchen) and dogs. The garden is dog proof for small dogs but not bigger dogs. A wonderful holiday for 6 of us and 3 dogs. Thank you.
Jane
The Fishermanââ?¬â?¢s Retreat is in a super location on the river, Severn valley steam railway, a woodland park just up the hill and with a pub right next door. The cottage is comfortable with a great private outdoor space overlooking the river and ample parking. There is really no need to use the car during your stay. Just jump on the steam train which is an experience in itself. We visited the delightful Bridgnorth during our weekend stay.
