Clun is a small historical town with pubs, a museum, shops and cafes. The 13th-century castle ruin and ancient Packhorse Bridge stand nearby. Local playing fields and a children's park are accessible through a gate at the bottom of the garden. Walking trails including the Shropshire Way, Jack Mytton's Way and Offa's Dyke start from the area.

Ludlow Castle and foodie events in Ludlow are 12 miles away (25 minutes). Museums at Ironbridge Gorge sit 28 miles distant (45 minutes). Stokesay Castle is 8 miles away (15 minutes). The Long Mynd offers hang gliding opportunities 10 miles away (20 minutes).
